very simple meatball recipe ~
.1 pound ground beef .1 small chopped onion .1egg . 1 teaspoon salt
. 1 teaspoon pepper . 1 cup of saltine cracker crumbs . 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil for frying.
. we sprinkle a few chopped onions around meatballs while frying
. fry at a medium - high
. turning frequently
. once all meatballs are cooked/browned remove them to a plate
. sauce ...
. 1 8oz. tomato sauce
. add tomato sauce and 1/2 can water to meatball drippings
. stir at medium low
. add salt/pepper to taste
. add meatballs back into sauce, spoon sauce over meatballs
. simmer 10-15 minutes

Thanks Tina, Just got my 1 lb of ground beef out to thaw. Have everything else, so I'm making them just like you did. I love meatballs and have several different recipes. Your recipe is on the menu tonight.

yes it's kinda meatloafy... we've always enjoyed it kinda simple
anyone can add extra ingredients to the the meat mixture.

Hi Tina, thanks for posting the recipe. What kind of crackers do you use, saltine or Ritz? Also how much tomato sauce? Did you mean 1 can? 8oz or 16 oz. they sound yummy, kinda meatloafy. What do you serve them with?
