I know this is an old recipe, but I was searching for crockpot recipes and found your site. We tried this one and LOVED it. I added some frozen mixed vegetables to it and made a side of cornbread. Great stuff! I can't wait to try some more of your recipes. :)

Hi Tina,
Just wanted to thank you for this fabulous recipe!! I made it today and served it over garlic mashed potates for dinner and my hubba said on a scale of 1 to 10, he gives it a 12.5! So to say it was a hit is putting it mildly!
THANK YOU so much for sharing all of your wonderful recipes!

I read your blog everyday, but this is my first time posting a comment.

I made this and it was REALLY good. My husband, son and daughter all loved it too. It's hard to find something universally appealing when your kids are 9 years apart but this one did it! The only thing I did different was I browned the beef prior with a bit of flour and garlic powder. It was fantastic! Thanks for the great recipe and the inspiring blog!

I make something similar and it IS yummy. I always brown my meat first though, really makes a difference.
Beef cooked in the crockpot is soooo tender!

Another great one for us working moms! As a mom of three teenage boys and a meat and potatoes hubby, this will be a great recipe to fill them up on! (for a few hours, maybe!?)LOL!! I made the Lemon Pie and the Chocolate Chip cookies and, needless to say, they were a big hit!
My men gobbled them up!
Thanks again for being so sharing!
