I remember when my Mother wore this hat~ she was so stylish. I love the sweet millinery flowers scattered all around...Thank you Mom for giving me one of your hats~ I'll treasure it forever.

I think the world would be in better shape if we could go back to such a genteel time. If I were you, and my house caught on fire, I would run and get this hat. The sentiment cannot be replaced. Later dear friend...........JAN
I just wish hats would REALLY come back in style....like they used to be. This is such a pretty hat...I can almost see your mom, all dressed up and ready to go to "town" in her pretty hat...I wish I had one of my mother's hats....could I just buy a vintage one and play-like it is her's ? :o)

I love hats. You should post a picture of it on someone. Sometimes you have to see it on someone to get the full effect. I'm having trouble picturing this hat on someones head. :)
Remember me? I've been so bad about blog reading lately...not because I don't want to read, but because of my crazy life recently. Lots of company, which has been wonderful and then all the medical tests, "hoopla", etc. I'm back now though...finally.
You've been a busy, busy girl. I've really enjoyed reading all your posts I've missed and seeing all your photos. It's been fun catching up with you.
I just love old hats and the times they represent. Your Moms hat is wonderful. I can never resist a new "old" hat for my collection even though I always say no more room!
Omigosh, I remember hats like that. My grandmother had hundreds of them because she was a milliner in Chicago during the 1940's and 50's. I have her hat boxes, some of the hats and her wooden hat form. Back then you didn't need chutzpah to wear a fantastic hat.

How wonderful to have one of your mother's hats! Do you happen to have a photo of her wearing it?

Hi Tina,
The hat is so fluffy and pretty. I also love the spread on your bed. Is that bedroom one we have never seen? Hugs, Rosemary~

I have two of my mother's hat boxes, but alas no hats. I love that blue duvet cover on the bed. Beautiful shade of blue!

Wasn't that sweet of her?
I have some of my mother's old hats, too, and I always thought she looked so beautiful wearing them.

That's not just a hat -- it's a beautiful work of art!

Tina,
I remember wearing my mother's hats when I was just a little girl. Do you remember the tiny veils that dipped down and touched your nose? :-)
I love hats from that era and the one your mother gave you is precious!
