I needed to bake something quick. We were expecting company yesterday I needed something quick and delicious. My first thought was Kim's Chocolate Chip Cake. I don't know how many times I've baked this wonderful chocolate cake. You can get the recipe at Kim's Daisy Cottage.
I have the recipe printed out with all my favorites in my cute recipe book Mika made me...
It's so easy...you start off with a box chocolate cake mix. Dump it in a bowl~ I love eating those little balls of cake mix...trying to get them to my mouth before they break apart~ yum!
The beauty of Kim's recipe is, it all goes in one big bowl...dump, pour, crack, stir!
See the chocolate chips?...Then you get to eat some batter!
OK...nothing smells better than a warm cake baking in the oven~ NOTHING!
A little decoration~
Thanks Kim at Daisy Cottage...we just love your Chocolate Chip Cake!
Thanks, I'm going to have nightmares tonight.

Hi Tina,
Oh my - don't know what's better - the cake itself or the presentation! Just lovely!!! Gosh, that looks delicious - sinfully so :o) Can't wait to try it - thanks for sharing - and BTW, LOVE how you take step-by-step photos of your cooking and baking - I bet your camera has had it's share of flour on the lens, huh? Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to bring a little sunshine into our lives (just like the pop of sunny little flowers in the middle of the cake!) Makes us smile - and that my dear is a precious gift!
Hugs,

Sonja and Bren..I bought my "Pure Butter" Cake Platter and Dome online at www.thebeautifullife.com ~ the last time I checked they couldn't get them... but check and see. If they don't, email them~ tell'em to try again! I have a lot of friends that want one!

That cake looks so good but that cake plate and cover are TDF, I love it!!
Where did you ever get it? I am a cake plate collector and I would like to find one like it.
The okra I grew in my garden, I wait until it's HUGE and uneatable and cut it and then dry it out in the oven for days or leave it in the sun for weeks when the weather is dry which is most of the time here in East Texas but you know that.
Are you heading to Canton next weekend?
I am thinking about going, I need a Fall wreath for the front door.
Yummy cake!!

Hi Tina,
I love your blog! Mika did a wonderful job on my banners that I ordered from her. All of my customers love them. I have been looking everywhere for a butter dish like the one you show holding that beautiful cake. Would you please tell us where to look for one? Thank you so much for sharing with us.

This little cake is too precious for words. I love baking my breads and other cakes in cute little bundt pans, too. It just makes them look so much cuter. I am a chocolate lover and will have to try this cake.

Ohhh Tina, you are a cruel woman! :) Today is my Weight Watchers evening and you have gone and baked another goodie!! Oh well, guess I'll just have to settle for a CARROT!!! LOL! Seriously, the cake looks yummy. Fortunately for me I've never been a sweet eater.........just give me the family-size bag of good ole Lays potato chips!! THAT is why I'm going to Weight Watchers! That and no self control!! Hope you are having a wonderful day. WHEN are you opening your Cherry Hill Cottage Market?? I am sooooo anxious to see your treasures.

You are getting to be quite the chef. But half of the time when I see your delicious pictures I realize I don't have some of the ingredients. Oh well I will just drool on my computer desk for a while. Have a good day friend.
