Tina, happy to hear your Mom is better.
I've been where you are so I know
how difficult and time consuming
caring for our parents can be. A
couple of things I learned while
taking care of my Mom was you have
to take care of yourself and save
some time for YOU!

Your blog is the first blog I visited
years ago and is still the first blog
I check each morning....you've been
missed! Take care of yourself and when
you feel like blogging again, all your
friends will be here waiting for updates
from Cherry Hill Cottage.

Prayers to you and your family. Take care!

I also checked every day. I missed you very much. You always bring a lot of joy to me as you share. After a while I felt like there was something wrong. I will surely pray for your Mother and all of you as you care for her. I had the privilege to take care of my Mom also. God is good and He will supply ALL your needs. Glad to know the reason for your absence. Now we know how to pray.

Hi Tina,

Great to hear from you!!! Sorry about your mom not being well but praying that she will recover completely. We have had a lot of family illness here also so I understand how it can take all your time caring for loved ones. But that is O.K. - 'cause family comes first - so absolutely no need to apologize. Just know that we missed you and we are glad you are back.

It's a hard place to be, sandwiched between all those who need us, and wanting to be there for everyone! Take the time to take excellent care of yourself and your own health!

Know there are strangers in the world that care about you, and are sending prayers heaven bound for you, count mine among them!

Susan Freeman

I understand all too well. We will all be here waiting for whenever your life settles down. Keeping you, your mom and your sister in my prayers.

Big Hugs,

I am sorry to hear that your mother is ill. It is miserable to have a parent who is ill and needs so much care. We went through 9 1/2 years of that with my mother. Sadly we lost my mother in Sept. It was so hard to lose her but I know with all my heart she is in a better place now and has a whole body again. My mother had a massive stroke and lost the use of most of her body. She had feeding tubes and could not get out of bed.
I will say a prayer for your mother to make a full recovery. Blessings to you and your family.

dee

Tina, My thoughts are with you and your family regarding your mom. I certainly understand the difficulties involved in caring for a loved one and it does take the whole family to do it. And, vast amounts of time and energy.
You are all in my prayers. I will look forward to future posts and a brighter day for all us. Take care, pat

Tina. I too believe in the power of prayer and I will be praying for your mother and You and your family. I need to thank you also just for your presence on this blog. I was diagnosed with cancer a 3 years ago and your blog helped get me through some pretty bad times. You were so generous in sharing yourself, your music, your recipes, your spirit. Thank-You. I hope someone out there does the same for you. Sandy

Once again, team sports could be a valuable avenue, since the emphasis is on how the person plays.

I check in from time to time to see what you're up to in your beautiful home. I understand completely about life getting too busy for blogging. There is a season for everything and this just isn't the season for you to focus on your blog right now. I have enjoyed it for years, and I'll keep peeking in on you. When the time is right, you will know when you can devote time to it again. If that time, never comes, it's ok. You've been a blessing to many. Prayers for your family during this difficult time.

Stacey

Hi Tina. :) It's the day after Thanksgiving...time to start a little Christmas decorating. I've been thinking about you and wondering how you are doing? I surely hope things improve for your mom. So many of us are at the point of caring for aging parents and it really is a challenge.

Lavon White

From your comments your mom is receiving lots of prayer, and I feel that you are, too. My mom had cancer and passed away. It is very hard on a family, but usually such sweet closure. I'm happy for all of you that your mom is better, though. We miss you very much; but a person has to put priorities in place, and God and family come first. Take care of you, Tina, and let us hear from you when you can. Just in case we do not get to talk for a while...HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL OF YOU!
