I got up this morning thinking about Chocolate Cobbler.
It was baked by 8 AM.
; - )
I think I'll bake another one for Easter Sunday.
I shared this WONDERFUL cobbler on my blog a year or so ago. This is for those who don't know anything about how
FABULOUS it is!
Melt 2 sticks of butter in a 9x13 pan.
Mix together in a bowl;
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. self rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup of milk plus a smidgen/splash
Pour this over the melted butter, DO NOT STIR in, just drizzle the above over the butter.
In another bowl mix;
1 cup sugar
5 tbsp. cocoa
Now sprinkle this over the above mixture, again, DO NOT MIX into the ingredients already in the pan, just sprinkle.
Now add 2 cups of boiling water over the top of all the above, DO NOT MIX, just pour all over.
Bake at 350 uncovered for 30-45 minutes.
Cobbler may be runny when you remove it from oven - it's OK. Let stand to absorb remaining juice and thicken up.
Serve warm, cold or with ice cream.
