OH~ The Drudgery!
Forever there.
Nothing to wear,
mounting to the ceiling.
The washing machine, a huge box with a large mouth, swishing back and forth, like mouthwash, to expel the dirt and grime.
The dryer, a box with fire,
waves of heat, like the sun to a grape, drying out the moisture.
Laundry makes Heaven more appealing to the point I feel like squealing!

My friend Monica is the only one I know that LOVES this chore...
...from start to finish.

I don't mind doing laundry...except for pairing up socks! I'd love to have a nice washer/dryer like that though...looks pretty swanky!

I have always said, "Laundry is a life sentence, with no hope of parole!" LOL

Hi Tina,
We have the same washer and dryer...LOL..
I don't mind at all doing the laundry anymore since we purchased the front loaders. My laundry goes a lot faster now..
But you are right..I can think of many things I rather be doing than laundry.
Have a sweet day and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your sweet family!
Hugs, Elizabeth

Mary P-Love your quote "Laundry is a life sentence with no hope of parole. Maybe I should join a nudist colony. I'll bet that would cut down on the laundry. :=) Judy

Tina and All You Laundry Haters,
I don't have to pump the water out of a well, build a fire, stir clothes with a stick and use a rub board!!!!! Life is easy compared to our great-grandmothers!!!!!!! I just gather up the clothes, sort, put into that large contraption and set a few dials or button. Oh, and don't forget that prepackage laundry detergent. When washed, I just dump them over into that dryer thing. It's not an all day process any longer and as I write this my washer is just washing away a load of heavy bath towel in the next room. Glad I don't have to use a rub board and lye soap to get them clean!!! BTW, I'm laughing as I write this. Life is too short to sweat a load of laundry, I can get lots done while my trust machine does the dirty work.
Blessings to all and be thankful for modern machinery this Thanksgiving,
Judy In Louisiana

Love your post Tina. Now I know why you came home, no clothes left to wear.LOL.
I can remember the day when I used to have to hang the clothes out, all of them. They
would smell so good after drying on the line. You could fold the sheets right off
the line. I don't mind doing laundry now
that I have machines to do it with. I can
remember when my washer was out one time and I thought heck I'll just use mom's rub board, well let me tell you that is not easy. I gave up and said the heck with this and went the next day and bought new machines.lol. I still have mom's old Maytag, wonder if it would still swish around....hummmm.

I love laundry. I think it became a love when I learned how to get spots out of vintage linens with Biz! Have a happy Thanksgiving.

The part I hate most about laundry is folding it. The household chore I actually enjoy is washing dishes!

Tina, I love to do the laundry, as so much of my life I didn't have a washer and dryer, and it was such a chore. I also love to weed. A lady paid me $100 to weed her flower beds, and kept bringing me good coffee and something to eat. I will tell all you folks, put an ad in for WEEDING and you will have extra money for Christmas! The kids can even do it, if you will help them to learn the difference in a weed and a flower, it could be a Biology project! Light pruning is another job I like, but I leave trees to tall people who like ladders!

PS:I have to add here that I think this is like the Cherry Hill Family Forum, I like it so much. Everyone is so kind in their remarks. If you aren't Tina will get you, spelled GIT. Bye bye from a Granny Wannabee!

Wow, with a washer, dryer and laundry room storage like that, maybe even I could love laundry again! There is definitely never a shortage of it around here.
I, like another poster, hate to match up socks!
