Adorable Tina, I love those dollhouses. What is your theme of your redo.

Jill

That is such a great way to repurpose a vintage dollhouse-- I love that idea! So adorable!!

That's a great way to use and display your dollhouse. I'm always slow doing a room too. It just takes awhile to make decisions and find all the important stuff. Did you see Becky's cottage guest room at Sweet Cottage Dreams? I think she mentioned you in that post. Oh my goodness, that room is amazing!

Kat

Very cute idea Tina.

Hope your 4th was good.

Hugs,
Kat

Stephanie

That is so cute! I love it!

I love your dollhouse idea...I had that exact same doll house as a young girl. I remember the vintes climbing up the side of the house...metal right? You have the best ideas, I can't wait to see the finished room.

Robin

What a great idea, Tina. I think mine, as a child was almost identical. I might have to explore my parent's attic to see if it is still there?

Laura

Oh so cute!! I love what you did with the dollhouse :) Can't wait to see the bedroom redo when you get is finished :)

Tracey

Everyone else is saying the same thing, but wow, I love the idea of hanging the vintage dollhouse for displaying things in your room. Great, whimsical idea.

Carol

What a cute idea, love the pictures of your home you've shared. It looks so cute and creative, alot like you, I think!

I think that is just like my dollhouse from the 50's. The chimney on the outside certainly makes me think the rest of it is just like mine....i have all my dolls from childhood, but not my dollhouse...maybe it's yours. :-)

Shelley

Love this idea....sweet...blessings

OMG... I had that same dollhouse when I was a little girl. It was one of my favorite toys... I even remember my brothers playing with it with me! I love that you put it on the wall... ok, I'm keeping my eyes open for one now.

Tonja

Love the idea! And I have to say I just love your house!!! Thanks for sharing all the pics.

Jeanette Van Wicklen

cute dollhouse idea!
thx for the sweet note about my post....

Reading the other comments here, it's funny how many of us had this same dollhouse. I wish I still had mine. I love this idea of yours -- just the right size for magazines and it brought back a nice memory for me. Thanks Tina!

If I had that on my wall I would put doll house furniture in the rooms. Then put rugs on the floor, flower pots on the side tables. etc etc. Put doilies on the tables and on the backs of the chairs and sofa. Make it a miniature home inside yours.

Erin

Very cute, thanks for sharing as it progresses. Loving the ironstone filled basket! If you have a moment stop by my blog for a wonderful give away! www.tresorsmarche.blogspot.com Erin

I used to play with one like this when I was a little girl! I don't remember anymore who it belonged to (I am fairly sure it was not mine), but I recognize the painted tin.

Debbie

I just love the dollhouse idea!!! I can't believe all the ideas you come up with. Just love them all!!! Can't wait to see the fireplace!!! You never disappoint us!!!

How clever to hand a vintage dollhouse...I don't think I would have thought to do that but it is just perfect. Hope you had a happy 4th down there in TX!

Great idea and adorable. I saw a similar doll house at a thrift shop a few months ago...

Want to add, Victoria magazine has a 4 page article/photo spread titled Cherries Jubliee. It reminded me of you!

Teresa

That is just so cool!
