Today our bed sheets were dried from my new clothesline....
NOTHING like the smell of fresh-lined-dried...sheets.
Thanks Milt!
Tony bought me this vintage pin bag at an antique shop from his recent trip to New Braunfels, Texas.
It was full of old weathered clothespins....
I got so excited.........
......... I couldn't wait to hang something out to dry!
THANKS TONY!
BRING YOUR WASH OVER!

Love it Tina! As always, such a cute post! Love the song playing, such a warm friendly corner. Miss you girl, see you at First Monday!

Oh, this brings back such memories. My Mom always had a clothes line...and even had a bag similar to yours!!! I can remember her getting so aggravated because flies would "spot" her clothes!!! But, they smelled so good from hanging outdoors in the sunshine!!!

I love the clothesline, too. When I get back to the Cape house, I will be using mine!

I love my clothesline, although I know it is not very DALLAS. I think the clothes just are better and it is better for the environment too. A few years ago I realized that I saved $30 a month on electricity not using my dryer in the summer. $30 is $30. Have a great day.

I wish I could do that... we live in smog land so that is out of the question.
I love watching clothes on a line dance in the wind.

Love my clothesline too!!!!
Waiting on the washer so I can hang out sheets and watch them dance in the wind.
Have a great day in the east.....the west is hot and dry.

I love that line dried smell - there's nothing like it. As hot as it's been in East Texas, I'm sure your sheets are dry in no time ! LOOOVE the clothes pin bag. You have a sweet brother.

Tina,
BRING YOUR WASH OVER!
Ok, I will...you don't have to ask me twice. LOL
With the hot, windy weather we've been having, those sheets will be dry almost instantly.

I love sheets hung out on the line. I used to have one but I don't have room in this yard for one. I keep trying to come up with a way to put one up. I'll have to keep thinking!

Oh I can just smell the freshness of those sheets now. How fun!
Enjoy your new clothesline and cute clothes pin bag. Was very thoughtful of your brother:)

As I laid in my hammock last evening with a breeze blowing I was thinking about line dried sheets and where I could hang a clothesline! There really isn't anything like the smell and feel of sheets that have been dried by the sun and the wind! I love the vintage pin bag!

Imagine that Tony knowing what you like..it
pays to have a twin doesn't it. I let hubby
talk me into getting rid of my clothesline.
Now I regret it so for Christmas last year
my son (because it was hunting season) gave
me an IOU for a new one. Well...I'm still
waiting for it..hummm..I can remember Mom
yelling at us when we were kids saying,"quit hanging on my lines".I would always say "that was sissy not me",she was
older...Whoa..Mom knew. I love your vintage
bag and you were so lucky to get it with the pins in it. WOW!! ":O)

This brings back memories of being a young wife and lucky to have a washer so line drying it was. I thought you might like to check out a post I did on my friends cherry collection so come on over for a visit. Loved your blog.

I'm so JEALOUS! I want one SO bad and my hubby is absolutely against it! I told him that if he wouldn't make one for me and I had to make it myself then I would hang his gaunch out to dry when he wasn't looking! It was all in good fun, I would NEVER do that to him. He would never come home again, he'd be too embarassed! haha! Anyway...all that to say, I love yours!

I am pea green with envy! I have bought some clothesline. I'm just waiting on my poor overworked hubby to have a break from work to put the posts up. There's just something sweet and wonderful about hanging clothes outside to dry - especially if there's a bit of wind so you can watch them gently move about.

Lucky you! I haven't had a clothes line for some time now, but I sure do remember the wonderful aroma of those sheets!

Oh man...I used to get is so much trouble for running through the sheets hanging out on the clothes line at my Grandmother's house! It was the very best place to play hide and seek or a good game of tag.
Great memories!

You are so lucky you can do this. I always loved the line dried clothes when I was growing up. I'd have muddy clothes with the gravel road I live on.
