rusty springs~

Good old rusty bed springs and cute little jelly jars combined... make awesome candle holders...

Come over some evening and have a drink with us!

You won't have to sit in those chairs without cushions.....

......I'm having oilcloth cushions made.

YAY!

Vintage bracelet~

I stopped dead in my tracks when I spotted this fun bracelet....

........it's made from vintage pearl clip-ons.

So '1940ish'...my Mom wore clip-ons like these....

......I totally fell in love.

line-drying~

Today our bed sheets were dried from my new clothesline....

NOTHING like the smell of fresh-lined-dried...sheets.

Tony bought me this vintage pin bag at an antique shop from his recent trip to New Braunfels, Texas.

It was full of old weathered clothespins....

I got so excited.........

......... I couldn't wait to hang something out to dry!

Love the simple old time feel of soda pop bottles...

perfect for displaying summer blooms.

I see daisies and a red straw in them....

I did it...

I cut their heads off.

They sure look good.......
resting in that vintage lawn chair. Milton found that perfectly great chair thrown out with the trash by the curb...

Car ridin'...

We went car ridin' yesterday evening...

.......always puts Jazzy right to sleep.

Just like a baby.

Our ride was a couple of miles out of town to the 'farmhouse' I'd love to own...

I had to see it again...

Still no one to be found. 

I'd love to landscape this property...

Can't you just see New Dawn roses tumbling all over that fence?

.....Rosemary plants growing here and there. Daisies, zinnias, day lilies and a variety of other flowers, shrubs and vines. A host of birdhouses sprinkled around for a sense of whimsy and fun.

 On the porch...

.....old worn Adirondack chairs. A porch swing with a ticking mattress cushion. Potted plants, hanging ferns. And a little table for having an outdoor meal. I can see a dried blue hydrangea wreath on the front door.

I could live here real easy....
