These are so beautiful!
I've had problems with mine the past few years...I think they're actually going to bloom this year. Hopefully they'll look as wonderful as yours!

Tina,
Hydrangeas usually don't lose the moisture in these beautiful blooms until July/August, when you can cut them to dry; if I'm not mistaken.
Mine have just begun to bloom as well in northeast Louisiana, and I absolutely adore them! If you softly cup the bloom in your hand, you can feel the tenderness of the blooms. I would wait a little while, I would say, especially if you want to dry them.

Wow! How pretty. I have the blue colour but not doing so well. Any secrets Tina?
I would say leave them out because they are too lovely to alter the look, but then, if it would make you happy having it indoors, then why not.
Have a great weekend, whatever you decide to do.

Beautiful! I'm seeing lots of these in blogland lately!

I agree, that's a tough decision. I usually end up leaving the flowers uncut. It just means we have to be out in the yard to enjoy them because I can't bring myself to snip. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Good morning Tina, I would have trouble cutting mine too. They're just so pretty that you hate to loose your display outside but then it would be nice to enjoy them inside too. Good luck with your decision! Have a wonderful weekend....Maura :)

Just lovely! Here in Southern Ontario (Canada), our hydrangeas are not nearly that far along - so yours are a lovely glimpse into what is yet to come! :)

These are one of my favorite flowers - love the blue. I usually cut and then dry them so I can enjoy them after summer. Have a wonderful holiday weekend! -amy

Tina~ Mine are blooming too and mine are
pink because of the alkaline of the soil.
Lime for pink and aluminum for blue flowers
added to the soil. I keep saying I am going
to make blue ones and I forget it every year. Yours are beautiful and if you cut
them when they still have color to them and
put them in a vase with a small amount of
water and put them in a room with a fan
going for a week or so they will dry so
pretty and still have their color to them.
If you want the brown and taupe color wait
until they are dry on the bush, then cut.
I still have a vase of mine from last year.
It's hard to cut beautiful flowers like yours isn't it.:O)

Cut them! Mine are blue our soil is acid. They say it's easier to change the pink ones to blue, add aluminum than to change blue to pink, take the aluminum out of the soil.

I have the same dilemma. I chose to leave them there and share the beauty with our neighbor.

They are my all time favorite for summer. I have enough in the yard that I just have to bring them inside too. When I give them to others, they are so happy! GO AHEAD and snip a few! :-) You won't be sorry. Hugs to you for a great weekend.
