I love my little antique stove...
...I found it on Craigslist Sunday.
; - )
It's the perfect little...
potting table/serving table. It's just what I've been wanting for our deck.
It's missing all 4 of it's knobs, shouldn't be that hard to find some.
Other than that...
it's in good vintage condition. (cosmetically speaking)
Anyone else have one?
I'd love to hear how you use your vintage stove.

Love it! Soooo Cherry Hill Cottage;)! I adore the way you have it staged!
Enjoy!

I have a 1950 Okeefe and Merritt in my kitchen and I cook on it every day - it's in perfect condition, complete with the little salt and pepper shakers that fit in the "headboard". I LOVE it!!!

Tina,
OK...I love this stove! Also love how you are turning your deck into a lovely outdoor room. The stove makes the whole area look warm and cozy.
All you need to do now is figure out how to hang a discloth (with a bright red cherry design, of course) on that new find. :-)

i have a 1940something O'Keefe and Merritt. it has 6 burners, double ovens, double broilers, clock with cook timer, scrolling cook chart, folding shelf, incandescent cook light, minute timer, and 2 outlets. I'm sure very fancy at that time. Every guest in our house comments on how beautiful it is and we love it.

We are so rural that our Craigslist never seems to offer anything worth buying. It's frustrating to say the least, so for the most part I just don't check it anymore. One of our daughter's lives in the Phoenix, AZ area and finds AWESOME deals on almost anything a person could dream of owning.

I have an old pink and blue DETROIT JEWEL stove that is being stored until we get our deck built hopefully, this summer. I love all the ideas about using it for potting as well as for storing bird seed. Can't wait to get it out now!!!!

Hi Tina,
One of my best friends has one in her kitchen (the cutest mint green) and she uses it as a side table. The top is decorated with a collection of antique spice containers, and she hands vintage goodies from it like old aprons. At Christmas she displays faux gingerbread men in a dusting of flour and places a yummy scented candle on top. I LOVE the way you are displaying yours!!!

I thought of my parents immediately when I saw the photo of your stove. I took pictures last summer and you can see their "patio" stove in the background.

I have a "New Perfection" that I was lucky enough to buy from a friend a couple of years ago. She had a gift shop and sold gourmet foods and used it for a display. I was thrilled to get it, although I had no idea at the time what I was going to do with it. I just knew that if I ever was to have one, this was "the one", because like yours, it is in great vintage condition. I would love to use it in my kitchen, but there isn't room for it. For now, it lives happily on my patio stacked with lots of enamelware pans and plants. I store my outside tablecloths, extension cords, etc inside the oven. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I have with mine !

Our friends have 4 of these. One is going to go in their cabin. You would love it, Tina. It is a green and has the old range set, too.

Hi Tina!
If you do not mind my asking -- How much did you pay for your vintage stove? The reason I ask is my friend has a herb and honey shop with a vintage stove in it. She was thinking about selling it but has no idea what to charge for it. Was just curious what you paid for yours because hers is similiar in style but has a light green color.
I like the fern on top and open door used as shelving. Will have to pass on to my friend your neat ideas!!!
