On the road again...

I'm leaving Milton for 4 days...

I'M SO EXCITED!!

We're going on another fun "girl trip" with LaurieAnna in search of fabulous antiques for LaurieAnna's Vintage Home. Almost everything we bought on our first girl trip sold during the fall preview sale and this last Canton First Monday show~ So... we're off again with the "HUMMER" and an 18' flat bed trailer~

Poke Cake~

 

Like eating a cloud~

Poke Cake~

1 box white cake mix

1 cup orange soda (any brand)

1 3.12-ounce box vanilla instant pudding

1 1/2 cups milk

1 8-ounce tub whipped topping

Bake cake according to package instructions in a 9-by-13-inch pan. When cool, poke holes all through the top of the cake with a butter knife or fork. Pour orange soda evenly over the top. MIx pudding and milk together until well blended. Fold in whipped topping until smooth. Spread pudding mixture over cake and store in the refrigerator until serving time.

Wicker Pedestal Cake Stand...

 

One of my "favorite things" at LaurieAnna's Vintage Home this past Canton First Monday was~

This WICKER PEDESTAL CAKE STAND...

It's available in 2 sizes, I bought this small one. It stands at 6 1/2"  and is 13" across the top.  It looks great with a glass cloche or with a pretty plate to serve a cake. I'm thinking, a chocolate cake...deliciously beautiful!

I absolutely love it!

Cottage Floorcloth...

  

I found the perfect dining room rug ~ a floorcloth.

 One-of-a-kind art for the floor!

I was having a hard time finding a "cottage" rug for our dining room. I got really excited when I opened the September 2009 "Romantic Homes" magazine to a dining nook with the cutest answer to my rug problem!! (magazine photo below) A FLOORCLOTH. I went straight to Ebay, typed in "floorcloth"

I looked around for awhile~ liked what I saw at ~

BB&J Custom Floorcloth... I emailed Brenda, told her what I wanted. Milton scanned Brenda the RH photo, and in just a few weeks we had our wonderful "cottage" floorcloth. This is the first "cottage" floorcloth Brenda has ever designed and painted. I think she did a marvelous job!! I couldn't be happier with the results.

 

I requested a cherry red and white check border. The butter yellow and scattered roses for the floorcloth middle. I also wanted my CHC and a little bunch of cherries in the corner.

I'm so happy with my cottage floorcloth!!

Our floorcloth is a 5x7...
