I found my dream farmhouse....
it has everything, that I would want.
A great welcoming gate, can't you just see a fresh green Christmas wreath on it?
There's a hitching post. I'd get a horse, I promise.
Can you believe this long white picket fence?
I'd enjoy keeping it freshly painted, it would be a loving chore...
See the birdhouse? Right behind that group of trees.
I bet the little birdies love living here...
WHAT A VIEW!
I think it's beautiful.
This great farmhouse is on CR 1798 in Rusk County, Texas...
It's unoccupied, but well loved, you can tell. I bet it's someone's "weekend" home.
I'd love to know who owns it, I would ask them~
Can I buy your beautiful farmhouse? ; - )

beautiful! love the picket fence. i want a picket fence some day :)
blessings,

I love the picket fence and the tin roof! Beautiful - I can see why it is your dream farmhouse.
Posted by: Claudia | August 25, 2009 at 06:03 AM
Yes you are right, that is the "dream" farm house. Just adopt them, move in for the weekend and then when they show up just tell them you are their long lost family, show them an old photo and I'm sure as sweet as you are they'd welcome you right in! Ok, never mind, I'd hate to read you got arrested...

It is you, for sure! BUT your home and your sisters home make me swoon!
Posted by: Stacey | August 25, 2009 at 07:06 AM
Wow, that sure is beautiful! The tin roof and picket fence completes that perfect picture. I have a newer "old" farmhouse but it isn't the same, the character of an old house just can't be beat. I wish you your dream farmhouse, you just never know when someone may want to sell their farmhouse to someone who loves their home as dearly as you do!

Oh my that looks just like my grandma's house only her picket fence was hand made and none of the pickets were the same. I was able to get some of the pickets and I made santa clauses out of them for all their grandchildren and great grandchildren and I made a quilt rack out of some. I love that house you really need it and then everyone that reads your blog could come help you move.Call me! LOL Good Luck...;^)

I'd jump at the chance too Tina. I hope you have your dream home someday if that is what you wish - but the home you have is lovely beyond words. Happy Dreamin', Cathy

Tina,
It's gorgeous!
I love that porch, too. I envision wicker furniture (with chippy paint, of course)sporting comfy pillows, lush flowers spilling out of pots and of course, a small table with a pitcher of iced tea or lemonade. Oh, and a porch swing.

Tina,
I love taking drives along country roads and often dream of living in one of the homes we pass. We do live in the country which is nice. You blog is wonderful. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

Tina, there is always that house that whispers your name when you drive by. For some reason, there is a connection between you and it. Sometimes our dreams don't come true, but the dream is lovely none the less.
However, it wouldn't hurt to contact them if you are serious!
I hope all your dreams come true.

Tina,
I was actually their neighbors for awhile. Such a beautiful home isn't it? I too am in love with it. You should have seen it before the big Oak Tree fell. It was beautiful!!
