Good morning Tina, Thanks for sharing the info. I'm a sucker for Cracker Jacks. Wouldn't it be great if they went back to putting the great prizes inside as well?? Of course they would probably go bankrupt if they did that!! ;-)
Have a great week, Debbie

You are so clever....I actually have a great caramel corn recipe, I wish I could get the boxes without the cracker jacks IN THEM! Hehehe! I love what you did with them, you KNOW I love red, white & blue!!
XOXO

It's a good thing I saw this today because I was just about to order these online for .75 per box plus shipping. We will have them in a big bucket for the 4th of July at the store for the GOOD little boys and girls...heehee.
Off to Wal Mart today....

Oh those bring back the good 'ol days when I was little. I had no idea Walmart had these. I'll definitely check it out and I LOVE how you've displayed them. You have the sweetest cottage ever, Tina!!

Oh my goodness, they bring back memories of days spent on the beach -- the only time we were allowed such an indulgence as Cracker Jacks!
Love them!

I really like the cracker jack box idea. I guess the only way I'd get to display them would be to empty the cracker jacks out and let the critter eat them and display the empty boxes (maybe stuff them). The citter is a very eager six year old grand that lives with us along with his Dad. He is so nosey that he would notice those right away. He's not really into the whole vintage/antique thing ~ although he's really into rat-packing and collecting junk though.
I'm thinking I need those Lemon glasses too.

I love this idea for the 4th! Of course I'll have to let everyone eat the contents but keep the boxes intact.

Oh, I love Cracker Jacks, but have not seen these precious boxes! Look how cute you've made them look in that huge cloche! You're awesome!
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Tina I love that idea! Remember as kids
when they use to put really neat toys
and items in their boxes. Now it is just paper items. Was so fun opening that box as a kid and couldnt wait to
see what your prize was.

I HAVE to have some!
Posted by: Southern Lady's Vintage | June 22, 2009 at 03:11 PM
Too funny, I just bought some for my kids, some of which had no idea what Cracker Jacks were!!
I got ours at the commissary on base for 3 for 99 cents. So if any of you have access to a commissary they are a little cheaper..
Oh, and my kids loved them! =)
