A great mat...

 

This great mat came from LaurieAnna's Vintage Home. I bought it for Mika and David's new home. Milton and I put it out on our deck this afternoon for this photo.

I wanted Mika to see it and to share it on my blog as well. This fabulous mat is made of bamboo. They are very popular at LaurieAnna's booth at First Monday and at the store. They look great on any floor surface. It's an indoor mat. But, we've also sold them for covered porches, patios, and decks.

made this fun outdoor arrangement for our table.

Remember the box? It's the dresser drawer that Monica got me out of the trash. Milton painted it with chalkboard paint. And Mika wrote flowers on the front with white chalk~

Banana Cake...

I baked this banana cake over the weekend~ it's not anything like banana bread. This cake is very light and moist. You will need 3 ripe bananas, 1 yellow cake mix, and 1 can of vanilla frosting.

It is super easy, and super GOOD!

 

Banana Cake

1 yellow cake mix

2 eggs

1/4 cup oil

1 cup water

2 ripe banana's

1 can of vanilla frosting and 1 more banana

Mix cake mix and the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl with mixer.

Pour into a cake pan that you have sprayed. Bake for 45-50  minutes or test done. Remove from oven, let cool for 10-15 minutes.

Remove from pan and invert onto a cake plate.

Place one can of vanilla frosting into microwave and melt slightly. Mash banana in a bowl, pour slightly melted frosting with banana, mix well. Pour the icing on the top, so it runs down the sides.

Optional~ Add a cup of walnuts to the cake mix.

If you read my blog you know how much I LOVE my yard conservatory. It's on my top 10 favorite things I own!  Milton and I bought it a couple of years ago from Linda Smith at First Monday Trades Day in Canton, Texas. I love filling it up with pretty ferns and flowers~ and fun whimsical yard art.

 

This is my new front door~

Last month, Linda emailed me, she wanted to replace my front door to the conservatory with a "Cherry Hill Cottage" door. ; - ) AS A GIFT!

I think Linda outdid her cute self!! Don't you?

I was blown away! Embellished with vintage mosaic china, featuring red cherries everywhere!
