I have a weakness for cookbooks, too! Mine, however, are not displayed in quite so much cuteness! They are in granny's old icebox in our farmhouse kitchen...and they fit perfectly in the little shallow shelves!
Love your photo!

I love how they're displayed in your bookcase. All my cookbooks are still in boxes. This has inspired me to get them out so I can see them and read them again! Oh, I love that song. :)

I love cookbooks too. Mostly I read them and then forget where I saw a recipe that I wanted to try. Love the cookbooks though.

Tina,
Me, too! I like to buy cookbooks while on vacation. A regional cookbook makes a great souvenir.

I love to have all sorts of cook books to look through and give me ideas. I especially love the ones put together by groups (i.e, churches, schools) because they have easy and tried and true recipes.

I collect them too, and love to read them as well. I have a bird exsactly like yours mine is just different colors.

I too love to read cookbooks. I often make up my own recipes as I go, but I love reading and dreaming of following recipes.

Your cookbook display is lovely and the little "Tweety" is just too cute. I see the Farm Chicks book there. I recently won a signed copy in their give-a-way. I was certainly surprised and delighted. LOVE IT!

Yes, I too am a cookbook collector. I have to admit that I don't actually read them. I know some people read cookbooks cover to cover like a novel. Guess I'm more of a visual person because I love them especially for their pictues. It's one of my prerequisits of buying them. Being inspired by a really great picture of something so delicious looking that I must attempt it is what it's all about for me. I really enjoy when you share your cooking creations because, again, I'm inspired.

Love me some cookbooks!

Wow!
I came across your beautiful site and saw the cookbooks. I too love reading and collecting cookbooks, especially old ones, and little pamphlets with recipes from the 30's 40's and 50's....Your book shelf looks exactly like mine. That really threw me. I have a Morton pottery bird sitting on my shelf, the same type of lace on the shelves and some of the same cookbooks.
Very cool!
