Have you seen the little Christmas trees at Wal-Mart? Red, pink, purple, silver...
I grabbed the red one as soon as I saw it! The "checker girl" said, "A red Christmas tree!" ; - ( real snooty like...I told Milton when we walked off~ she clearly doesn't know about cottage!
Mika made my colorful paper cones out of scrapbooking paper. The little handles are glittered pipe cleaners. And miniature tinsel garland line the top rim and bottom tip of the cones. I filled each paper cone with a bit of iridescent gift-bag filler, and nestled little white silk flowers into each "nosegay"....
I found the cute little jiggle bells at Wal-Mart...
I topped my red Christmas tree with this cute "cherry stocking" from ~ Amy
I love Amy's creations~ click on Amy's name to visit her ETSY SHOP...

Now I know where to get a silver one. Red is prefect for the season. Checker Girl needs to expand her horizons.

Too cute!! I NEED one of those - in either red or silver!! I'm thinking it would look good in one of my old galvanized tubs. Oh well, back to Wal-Mart this evening!! Really Tina, Wal-Mart should pay you commission!

Hi Tina,
Your tree is beautiful and fits right into your cottage. I laughed because I bought a pink one in early November for my bedroom. Its the same size as yours from Wal-mart. I put my Victorian stuff on it and through out my tiny green tree that I had for years. Love the pink lit up. The red/purple trees are great for "redhatters" too. A red tree would look good in my kitchen too. You always think of the neatest stuff and it is decorated in your taste - just perfection. The stocking on the top is icing on the cake.
Hugs,
Connie

Hi Tina -
The Walmart checker girl certainly has limited vision...I think your red Christmas tree is fabulous! It would look wonderful in my kitchen...I know this because my kitchen has alot of the same elements as your kitchen and you have wonderful taste! Keep up the great shopping and decorating!
