We Love You Karen~
This post is for my sister-in-law Karen~ Karen's brother Randy Newman died Thursday, July 17, near Pampa, Texas, as a result of injuries he received in an automobile accident.
Randy was born December 15, 1954, in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and proud grandfather.
Randy was a longtime member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church, a 1972 graduate of Pine Tree High School, an active band dad and president of the Pine Tree High School Band Boosters. He was employed by Sun Pipeline for more than 25 years and was a longtime weekend "fixture" at Judson Road Exxon. Randy never met a stranger and loved to visit with people.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Suzanne Newman; his children, Jason and Gena Newman of Dallas and Lauren Newman of Dallas; grandson, James Randall Newman; parents, Ira and Shirley Newman of Longview; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Ric Johnson of Longview; niece, Brianna Johnson; and many other friends and family.
A celebration of the life of Randy Newman, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2008, at Oakland Heights Baptist Church, Longview, Texas.
Karen: I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
We love you Karen...
