Things That Make Me Smile...
What I want to share is the petite pennant banner hanging in my kitchen window~ made by Amy of Vintage-Home. LOVE HER! Amy created this cute banner from vintage tablecloth remnants. Makes me want to smile and smile ; - ) ....
Featuring vintage flowers on each pennant...
Speaking of cute....Wal-Mart has some really cute melamine plates. I bought the red and white. They also have them in blue and white. I guess I'll go back and get the blue/white~ wouldn't they all be cute for a July 4th table?
Can't have to many cute plates!
EAT CAKE above the kitchen window was designed by Mika~ to place an order email Mika @

Your kitchen is fantastic.

Just adorable!
I love your kitchen - and all the cute things that you've been adding to it. I'm so sorry about your Mom - hopefully she will be on the mend soon!! I'm also really glad you weren't hurt in the tornado! Yikes! Very scary, I'm sure. Hope you have a great day Tina!

Love the banne. I will have to get out my old tablecloths and see if I can do something with them.
I really love those plates. I will have to get to Walmart and see if they have those here. Our Walmart is going downhill. Always out of something.

HI Tina - Thank you! :-) I hope your mom is on the mend - I'm so sorry she is enduring another broken hip but she must take comfort that you're nearby. Have a lovely day in your lovely kitchen!! -amy

Tina - will be praying for your Mom...I live in Shreveport and was watching the Tornado - I head it hit Canton - I came through there on Friday night headed to Mabank - just on the other side - I stopped at the Wal-Mart in Canton and everyone was talking about it - hope all your things were OK.

Very cute banner! I hope your Mom is getting better. The only thing bad about spring in the South are the tornados! Otherwise it's such a beautiful time of year.

its very sad when our family gets ill....for whatever reason. it's a challenge, to say the least...so i'm happy you find that silver lining in bouncing back to your blog site. you will get support, and kind words, and it's a good thing knowing that there are people, even like me, an internet stranger, that can identify, and appreciate!!! so hang in, and i wish only good things for you and your family. and keep smiling. and keep posting.

Tina,
What a wonderful way to use up remnants! It's cute, cute, cute.
Your kitchen always makes me smile.
Love those red and white plates, and of course, you must go back for the blue and white ones. They'd be great not only for the 4th of July but also for Memorial Day and Labor Day picnics.
Hugs,
Marilyn

Well, I do adore your window treatment. It is absolutely perfect.
And, I agree you can't have too many plates. Maybe I should incorporate that as a motto for my home.

I love the banner and the plates! I'm getting a Walmart gift card today and those plates are on my list of things I want. Did you see the metal "snack" box? I'm getting it, too. Your kitchen has really inspired me.

Hi Tina,
I have been so busy and haven't had the opportunity to check in for the past few days. I am so, so sorry to hear about your Mom's fall. I feel terrible for you and her. I hope that she heals quickly. How horrible that must have been. My mom is 74 and it is scary as they get older, alothough 74 is pretty young in today's day. I also feel badly that you had such an experience while at Canton. Thank goodness you are okay! I will pray for your family and by way, love, love the banner!! Only Tina finds such lovely stuff!! Hugs and prayers Tina~Rosemary
