Pretty Little Fern Fronds~
I love to be able to go outside and pick fern fronds from my flower bed~ their little spores are reproducing fast and furious~ This long neck bottle/vase is perfect for a couple of fern fronds. I bought the vase at LaurieAnna's Vintage Home...
And this neat metal initial tag. At LaurieAnna's we tie tags on vases and apothecary jars~ the tags are really cool...they have a good aged look to them. The ribbon at Laurie's booth is fantastic! I have this tag tied on with a ribbon that has different names of flowers printed on it~ jonquil * hyacinth *tulip * narcissus.
Canton First Monday is next week... ; - )

Tina, you can take anything and make it beautiful! I love the fern fronds.....what kind of fern is it?? I have been working on having a shade garden in our front courtyard. Yes, I said courtyard.... it is a very small courtyard that is definitely not me, but I figure if I plant shade loving perennials and annuals and add some whimsical statues, etc., it will eventually look more like me!
Wish I lived closer so I could check out the Canton market! Maybe someday I will plan a little "holiday" to your neck of the woods!

Tina , that is a good ideal about the fern fronds in a vase , I wouldn't have thought of that .

I too love ferns. There's so many wild ones growing next to my foundation I have to pluck them up and throw them away! Today at Breedloves Nursery in Tyler, I saw some that were purplish-green. Really exotic looking.

Ferns are soft and delicate, yet probably can withstand much of what the weather throws its way. The glass vase if really nice for just that type of display. I sure wish I were at Canton this weekend!

I love fern fronds, too. I have some growing on the banks of our creek bed, and I use them frequently.
Thanks for sharing the idea of featuring just the fronds in a vase. I like the look.

Oh yes, if nothing is blooming in the garden I put ferns around for some color. You really have the touch.
I thought about you the other day when I was out thrifting. I found a really cute copper mold that has a cherry design on the top. So cute.
Oh, I wish you and others wouldn't mention Canton First Monday. I'm too far away to participate....sigh. And, I miss Texas.

Lovely post! I love ferns too! ~I have a question~in the picture of the ferns about them is that bell jars (cloches) ? If so , I can't figure out how they are suspended there in the air above! I love cloches and you have me intrigued! :D
Have a lovely week!
