David and Mika~
Milton and Tina Smith of Henderson are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Mika Chapman to David Glenn McMurray, son of Kerry and Pattie Dixon of Brownfield. Mika is the daughter of Milton and Tina Smith and the late Mike Chapman. She is the granddaughter of Margie Johnson and the late Darrell Johnson of New London and Gwin Chapman and the late Roy Chapman of Henderson. David is the grandson of Edwin Lang and the late Martha Stringer of Huntsville. Mika is a 2001 graduate of Henderson High School and a 2005 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science in fashion merchandising. She is employed with New York and Co. in Tyler. David is 2000 graduate of Henderson High School. He is employed with DirecTech Southwest in Longview. The couple plan to wed Aug. 24, 2008, at Roseland Plantation.

My son (my 'baby', 25 years old) just got married in September, and it was a happy occasion for more reasons than one...so good luck and I'm sure we'll follow the excitement of the wedding plans as you go along.

Hip Hip Hooray! How wonderful for your family! We had a wonderful wedding this past September when my son was married. All I can say is it went by way to fast so enjoy the moment and enjoy the planning. Can't wait to see pictures!

I think I know right where they are getting married. I drive by it everytime I visit my Dad and his wife in Bullard. I have day dreamed many times of a wedding on this plantation. I always think one day I'm going to stop and take a tour. Can't wait to hear the details.
