I felt so sad when I pick up this broken concrete angel~ I found her when Mom and my twin brother Tony and I went to the cemetery where my Dad's grave is. She wasn't at anyone's grave site. She was just laying on the ground in the older section of the cemetery all dirty and broken............I picked her up and brought her home with me.
Angel~ messenger of God.

She looks lovely in her new home. What a treasure and blessing.

How special, maybe a message from your dad, or AN ANGEL!
Posted by: Linda | March 26, 2008 at 11:16 AM
You'll give her a cherished home somewhere. This is off the track, of course, but I like to go to visit very old graveyards and take pictures sometimes. I'm always wondering about these people whose names I read on the gravestones, what they're lives were like. I suppose because I don't really have a family and don't know where they are buried. Just an eccentric thing, I guess.

Oh my gosh, Tina that is so precious, it made me cry. I still am waiting for some kind of sign too, from my Mom. People have told me that she might come to me in a dream, that I will know. I havn't had one yet,I am waiting for something.Your found Angel is a beautiful thing.-Love, Valery

Concrete Angel... That song always stops me in my tracks. I counseled battered women and their children for many years and so I am upclose familiar. Your angel is beautiful. And so is your soul. It shines so brightly from your touching blog.

Can't wait to see what you decide to do with her.

Hi Tina: I think that is just the sweetest little angel. And what a really neat place to find it. That makes visiting your Dad's grave even more special! My Dad and baby girl are buried within just a few yards from each other and if I found a little angel like yours, I, too, would think it was from above! Thanks for sharing!

Now you have your very own little gift from God ~ my friend always says when she finds pennies, it's God telling her that's where she is supposed to be, maybe he will give you little angels. :)

Hi Tina.....I have a broken china angel, too! I found it on my mom's grave down in the dirt on the 1st anniversary of her homegoing. It was a real comfort to find it. (She went to heaven Dec. 8, 2006) I have it sitting in one of her dishes by my sink and it's a sweet reminder of her. I've enjoyed your blog this month....See you next Wednesday!
Blessings and Hugs!

Tina,
There are signs everywhere; gentle nudges from God. Not surprizingly, your heart is open to receive them.
Angel - Messenger of God. So true.

Oh Tina, I bet there will be lots of ways you'll use this sweet angel.
Gosh, it seems f-o-r-e-v-e-r since I've been able to visit you. You've been very busy and I've enjoyed each and every post (and photo) I've missed. We had a ball on our California trip, but it's always nice to return home. I'm still gradually catching up on things around here. (Just in time before company comes next week...our daughter and my Mom and Aunt.)
Hugs!

"Angels watching over us" Isn't she just the BEST!! I know she has found a wonderful home! Some of the most beautiful works of art including mostly angels can be found at the old cemeteries...I think they are lovely! Wish that times would allow families the opprotunity to still use those magnificent stones!
Blessings...

I would guess that you were supposed to find this little angel and bring it home with you. Somebody has sent you a message that they are watching over you. How wonderful :)
