Mika's Bedroom...
A little green feather tree and red carnations are the simple Christmas decorations in this bedroom~ this was Mika's room when she was growing up...I miss you being here Mika ; - ( ...I changed the bedding on this old iron bed~ I bought the chenille bedspread at Canton. The cute pillow came from Amy's Vintage-Home on Ebay.
I finally bought a mannequin~ I bought her from Theresa Cano. Theresa has the wonderful informative blog Garden Antiques. Milton and I drove to Lufkin, Tx. to pick her up at an antique mall. Theresa has a darling booth there.
All the necklaces are for sell~ if your interested you can email me for prices. (the pearl cross necklace has sold)...
This little white compote has a glass flower frog resting on top~ cut your flowers to fill each hole in the flower frog. I found the compote at Goodwill. I see them all the time at flea markets, garage sales, and at Goodwill for pennies. I found this old swan at Goodwill for .25...

the plates on the wall very cute. Mary

The room is beautiful and so restful-looking.
Did you use the same yellow paint throughout your home? It's a beautiful shade.

Beautiful room! Love the glass compote with the black gingahm ribbon! I have a new appreciation for those swans now. I see some version of them at the thrift store all the time and pass them by. But yours looks so pretty with that bit of greenery!

Your rooms and home always look so inviting...and so darn CLEAN!! I could clean every day...and I don't think my home would sparkle like yours...I LOVE it!! I also love your new mannee...have you given her a name yet...cos every mannee needs a name...I have a wire one upstairs in the "cave" with my husbands favorite great aunts college graduation dress on her...her name was Josie...so I've decided to name my mannee after Aunt Josie...even if she is just wire...I still love her...
The necklaces are awesome, too...
Blessings...

I love the plates layered, how did you do that? I have plates in flo-blue and ones with roses on them hung but just on single plate hangers. That is a great idea. I also try to fing dishes that have the loops to tie ribbons, I have a wonderful cake stand that I tie different ribbons in to coordinate with the occasion. I love love love the necklaces, do you sell them. I'm very much interested. Joy in Ky.
