Bubblebubblebubble....
Taco soup that is...now I know everyone probably has a favorite taco soup recipe. This is our favorite~It's finally chilly enough to enjoy a bowl or two! It all goes in one big pot~ simmer until you just can't stand it any more...ENJOY!
OK...I know, I know a clump of raw ground hamburger meat is not very photogenic. But, it- is- what- it- is-...2lbs of it. ; - ) I like to use ground sirloin.
The spices! 1 package of taco seasoning mix~ 1 package Hidden Valley Salad Dressing Mix...
Get your husband to chop one onion... ; - ) thanks Milt
These were already chopped~ I like that, so did Milt. One wonderful 7 oz. can green chilies.
Beansbeans the more you eat...ok, sorry. Two 15 oz. cans pinto beans w/ jalapenos and two 15 oz. cans of corn. With the liquid.
In this one big bowl..two cans of tomato sauce, one can Ro*tel, and one large 28 oz. diced tomatoes...
So there you go...a bowl of taco soup with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream.
Taco Soup~
2 lbs. hamburger meat
1 chopped onion
1 (7 oz.) can chopped chilies
1 large can (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 can Ro*Tel tomatoes
2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 cans pinto beans w/ jalapenos
2 cans corn
1 pkg. Taco Seasoning Mix
1pkg. Hidden Valley Salad Dressing Mix
1 cup of water
Brown hamburger meat along with chopped onions and chopped chillies. Add package of taco seasoning mix and package of Hidden Valley Salad Dressing Mix. Do not drain any liquid from canned vegetables. Add all the canned ingredients with liquid. Add 1 cup water. Let simmer approximately 45 minutes, stirring often. Great for the crock-pot.

I think my Hubby would like that.....think I will give it a try.....thanks :-)

Hey - great minds think alike! LOL
I've got soup up this morning too. I cooked mine yesterday but the boys didn't eat here last night so we have leftovers for tonight! I've got the taco soup recipe too - altered over time to suit our tastes, but basically the same. Try it sometime with cooked chicken in place of the ground beef. (the guys don't like it as well with the chicken, but I do and I'm the cook!)

I've never had taco soup! But I like tacos and your recipe sounds delish. Plus I like things that can be made in the crockpot. I'll give it a try as soon as it cools down.
Hopefully that will be soon!
